Oliver Gardey appointed to lead the Manager’s investment team

The Board announces that its manager, ICG, has appointed Oliver Gardey to lead the Company’s investment team.

Oliver will join in autumn 2019 and succeed Emma Osborne who, as previously announced, will move to a senior adviser role within ICG at the end of this year. In her new role, Emma will remain on the Investment Committee, working alongside Oliver and the other Committee members to provide oversight of the portfolio.

Oliver has over 20 years’ experience in the private equity industry. For the past decade, he has been a partner at Pomona Capital where he was a member of the global investment committee. He was previously a partner at Adam Street and Rothschild/Five Arrows Capital respectively.

Jeremy Tigue, Chairman, commented: “I am delighted that ICG has appointed Oliver Gardey, to lead the Company’s investment team. The strength of his industry experience, alongside that of our existing team, will be of great value to our highly selective investment approach and our focus on delivering consistently strong returns. The Directors look forward to working with him.”

Oliver Gardey added: “I am excited to join ICG, a leading global alternative asset manager with a high calibre team and enviable track record. I look forward to helping ICG build on its success and work with the team to build on the Company’s impressive short, medium and long term returns.”
